As soon as I receive your email, I will respond within two working days to begin discussing the options available. You have the option to commission the design you see above or something similar with adjustments made to the length or composition. The price for the artwork will be adjusted accordingly. Once we agree on the nature and cost of the artwork, a 25% upfront payment is required, and the remaining 75% will be paid upon completion. The price for the neckpiece 'Sea-Bree', with the dimensions and composition mentioned above, is £1,850.

Please note that commissions are subject to availability, and the lead time is typically between three and six weeks, depending on the scale of the project.

Knotted wrack seaweed (ascophyllum nodosum), is both strong and resilient, yet fragile and delicate. Therefore, it must be worn, handled and displayed with care to ensure its longevity.

For your seaweed artwork to last many years, please follow these care instructions. Your artwork is free from any preservatives, treatments, or glues, and it retains all of the natural properties of seaweed. Please be cautious to keep your artwork away from damp environments and water, as seaweed is hydrophilic and will absorb moisture from its surroundings. Always store your seaweed in a dry, well ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and significant temperature fluctuations.

Note that prolonged, direct contact with skin may cause the artwork to absorb body oils. Please avoid any contact with cosmetics, toiletries, and sun cream. If you notice your piece has been affected by moisture, ensure that it is allowed to dry out.

Sunlight and time will gradually alter the colour of the artwork, fading from greens to soft browns and muted yellows. I encourage you to embrace this natural transformation.

To clean your piece, delicately dust or wipe with a dry cloth.

If you wish, you may return this artwork to the earth where it can be buried to serve as an effective fertiliser, enriching and nourishing the plants that grow there.

The commission process will determine the most suitable delivery method, whether it be via post, collection, or drop off. Delivery costs are subject to location, but most mainland UK delivery costs are covered within the commission price.
